How We Can Help
What will this cost me?
Costs associated with long-term care continue to rise. You have come to the right place for help in exploring some lower-cost alternatives.
Information, Referral, Assistance, and Case Management services are free to the consumer. Other services, such as Respite and Senior Personal Care are on a sliding fee schedule, and the Home Modification and Meals on Wheels are on a voluntary donation basis.
When an individual decides to access a Medicaid funded personal care program, a complex set of financial eligibility rules come into play. In these situations, we recommend you contact a Home & Community Services financial worker and/or consult an attorney as they can provide you with information regarding “Estate Recovery”, “Spend Down”, “Participation and Look-Back Period”.
So, as you can see, the costs associated with each service and program varies widely and is dependent upon the individual’s needs, financial situation, marital status, and eligibility criteria for the program and service requested. Because of these factors, we strongly encourage you to contact your local Senior Information & Assistance office and talk to our specialists. They will be able to provide you with information specific to your individual circumstance.
